Tropical system in the Gulf gaining strength, some local impacts likely

What We Are Tracking: Hope you enjoyed the sunny low humidity weekend, rain chances will return, as tropical depression 6, likely to become tropical storm Francine later today. The current forecast track has it passing just off the Texas coast Tuesday and Wednesday, making landfall near the Texas/Louisiana border on Wednesday as possibly at category one hurricane. Depending on how close it tracks to our coast, will determine how much of an impact it will have. As of now, coastal areas, such as Calhoun, Refugio, and Matagorda counties could see heavy rain , possible tropical storm force winds, Tuesday and Wednesday. Watch weather developments.

A Closer Look: Mostly dry on Monday, with rain chances starting along the coast Monday afternoon, as expanding over the next few days.
