    Thursday's Sunrise Forecast

    Thursday's Sunrise Forecast

What we're tracking: With the front passing through the Crossroads last night, "cooler" and dryer air is finally in the picture for us. This will allow for cooler nighttime lows in the 60s, but with dryer air returning sunny skies, temperatures are free to rise quickly with less water vapor holding it back. This dryer air will allow our temps to rise nearly 30 degrees from the low as opposed to the usual about 20 degrees when humid. With a north wind both at the surface and aloft, our skies continue on the clear side for a whole week with surface humidity staying low. With continued sunshine and no fronts or change in wind direction in sight, our highs rise to the mid and upper 90s this weekend and stay that way going into next week. Also going into next week, yet ANOTHER tropical system may try developing in the Caribbean or Gulf late next week with high pressure off the East Coast and a tropical wave mixing thing up. If this development happens, it will be between Wednesday-Saturday of next week and somewhere in the W Caribbean. Alert Days: <NONE>

Next 24 hours: Much nicer weather ensues today, but the heat will slowly start returning tomorrow. With sunny skies and a light breeze, highs today rise to the upper 80s and low 90s. I'm expecting a high around 90 in Victoria County. Winds out of the North will gust at times up to 25 mph in the morning and 20 mph in the afternoon. With clear skies tonight and more north winds, lows drop to the low and mid 60s. Rain chances at 0%.

Extended forecast: Going into the weekend, temps quickly rise back to the mid and upper 90s staying that way next week. With dry air providing a stable atmosphere, no rain is expected anytime soon. See below for your 7 Day Crossroads forecast!
