    Victoria Advocate: Families amass for annual Blessing of the Pets

    Come creatures one and all, big and small. Friday, Our Lady of Victory School (OLV) and Nazareth Academy (NA) each held their annual Blessing of the Pets ceremony for the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi. For both schools, this ceremony is more than just an annual event, it’s a tradition.

    “You see parents who were former students bring their pets and getting to enjoy the celebration with their children,” Father Kirby Hlavaty, rector at OLV School and Church says.
