Fall weather has finally arrived

Wednesday's Weather Headline: The first fall cold front of the season is arriving this morning bringing GORGEOUS weather for the rest of the week and weekend! Read on for more details.

What we're tracking: A cold front passing through the Crossroads early this morning will bring the beautiful fall weather we have all been impatiently waiting for! After the front has fully passed and is all said and done with, winds will start returning out of the Gulf. These onshore winds will slowly bring back some slight humidity and also bring back some cloud cover for the weekend with a moistening upper atmosphere. Also with a moistening atmosphere and clouds comes spotty rain chances. Chances will be very low, but not zero, so keep your fingers crossed for something to break our 36 day dry streak. With partial cloud cover over the weekend and slightly breezy Gulf winds, highs will slowly rise to the upper 80s while lows will quickly jump back to the mid 60s.

Next 24 hours: Timing out the front and the weather after, the front's outflow boundary will pass first around 5 a.m. with the dry cold front edge passing through the Crossroads between 7-8 a.m. In the morning, it will be a bit breezy with winds gusting up to 25-30 mph at times with winds sustained between 5-15 mph out of the ENE. With the breezy, cooler, and dry winds, high temperatures for all of the Crossroads today will be in the lovely upper 70s! Skies will slightly pick up in cloud cover during the mid afternoon before clouds begin on the decrease going into the late afternoon and evening back to mostly clear skies with a few passing clouds. Tonight, under mostly clear skies and winds gusting up to 20 mph, lows will drop to the cool low and mid 50s before warming up to the upper 70s and low 80s tomorrow under mostly sunny skies and a slightly calming wind.
