Seahawks Predicted to Add 35-TD QB With ‘Unrecognized Potential’
The Seattle Seahawks could be an ideal landing spot for this highly touted quarterback prospect. As predicted by Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski in his 2025 NFL Mock Draft, he projects the Seahawks to take Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe with the seventh overall pick in next year’s draft. A major argument for Milroe landing in Seattle is the familiarity of the coaching staff, which features first-year offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb. Grubb coached with Crimson Tide head coach Kaleb DeBoer when both were members of the Washington Huskies coaching staff.
Troy Rookie All-Stars compete in World Series
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... The Troy All-Stars represented Alabama at the Dixie Ozone Rookies (11U) World Series in Mississippi this past weekend. Troy went 2-2 at the World Series. They opened up the World Series with a 8-5 win over Livingston on July 18. Cole Cleveland led Troy at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run, while Elliot Cochran went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Barrett Powell and Cochran pitched two innings each. Cochran struck out two and gave up two hits and two earned runs, while Powell struck out three and gave up no hits or earned runs.
Nexstar Names New GMs in Huntsville, Lubbock
Nexstar Media Group said it promoted Olivia Pennington and Britt Milstead to VP and general manager, effective immediately.Pennington will run Nexstar’s stations in Huntsville, Alabama: CBS affiliate WHNT and CW affiliate WHDF. Woman Jailed After High-Speed Pursuit
In the early morning hours of Sunday (July 21st), the High-Speed Pursuit initiated by Gadsden Police, ended in Rainbow City – thanks to efforts of collaborative efforts of multiple agencies. Officers were initially called to the Club View area in response to reports of a suspicious vehicle. Upon attempting to stop that vehicle, the driver, identified as Stephanie O’Bryant, fled the scene and lead the officers on a high-speed chase that reached speeds in excess of 100 mph.
