CROWLEY, La. ( KLFY )– In Crowley, the community is helping out a town legend who most know as Jimbo.

For decades, Jimbo has been known as the man who will help out anyone with anything. When a Facebook post about helping fix up Jimbo’s home went viral, volunteers stepped up to help him at no cost.

Jimbo has been known to give selflessly while putting smiles on people’s faces. That’s why when someone saw the poor condition of jimbo’s family home, a Facebook post about helping him went viral. Tony Craduer along with other people in the community got together to help fix Jimbo’s home which has issues with the roof, black mold, the foundation and tree branches falling.

“I was thinking we should all come together and see what we can do for Jimbo,” Craduer said.

Cradeur said the world should be like Jimbo, which is why helping him was an easy decision to make.

“I’ve known Jimbo all of my life,” Morgan said. “He’s full of joy, full of happiness. The community see that he needs to be helped. and they just want to reach out and bless him and we want to be a part because we have the manpower to be able to, you know, many hands make light work, and we have the manpower to be able to make a difference.”

With an outpour of support, Jimbo is getting the help he needs and said he wants to thank everyone for their love and help.
