Temple University warns parents, students of scam involving Temple Police impersonations
Temple University is issuing a warning to students and their parents about a scam involving someone pretending to be a Temple Police officer.The scammer has been calling parents, claiming their child has been arrested and requesting money via a payment app for their release.Fortunately, it appears that no one has fallen for the scam thus far.Temple University emphasizes that officers will never contact parents to request money.
Philadelphia residential parking permit increase now in effect
A reminder to Philadelphia residents who park on the street near their home.The rates of residential parking permits are increasing.The annual fee will now be $75 per vehicle.That's more than double the previous fee.Only three vehicle permits are allowed per household.Motorcycle and scooter permits will now be $50.The ordinance was passed by City Council and signed by Mayor Parker in June.
Tolls Increase On These 4 Bridges Between NJ, PA For First Time Since 2011
The increase on the Ben Franklin, Betsy Ross, Commodore Barry, and Walt Whitman bridges went into effect at midnight. For passenger vehicles, motorcycles, and small trucks, tolls increased from $5 to $6. For recreational vehicles and mobile homes, tolls go up from $.7.50 to $9 per axle. For buses, the increase goes from $3.75 to $4.50.

Philadelphia YIMBY’s recent site visit has confirmed that construction work is complete at 2046-50 Lehigh Avenue in East Kensington. The building, located on the southwest side of the block between between Frankford Avenue and Amber Street, rises five stories and feature ground-floor commercial space as well as 21 residential units.
