Middleton Library Receives $10,000 Donation
The Middleton Library was thrilled to announce the Friends of the Middleton Community Library received another generous $10,000 donation from an anonymous local donor through the American Endowment Foundation. In June 2023, the Library also received a generous donation. This gift will be used to benefit the Middleton Community Library. The Library staff wants to give a huge thank you to this donor for their support for our library and community.

Museum program in Florence teaches children aspects of Native American culture
Children and tweens from North Alabama are gaining knowledge on Native American culture and history this summer at the Florence Indian Mound Museum. The institution is hosting the Young Learners Series, where students can explore the early history of the Shoals through short lessons and hands-on learning exercises. Each month will feature a practice that relates to Native American culture. Participants will explore the history and cultural meaning behind each practice while engaging in an activity related to that topic.
