Tennessee student with disabilities excluded from own commencement, sues principal
GREENFIELD, Tenn. — New information has been released regarding the exclusion of three high school graduates from their own commencement. In May, a petition to fire Greenfield High School Principal Jamie Doster was developed in response to him requiring three students with disabilities to sit in the audience instead of with their class. Kennedy Lee was one of those students, and she has filed a complaint under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. The complaint alleges that "This case involves extreme prejudice and insecurity towards persons with disabilities."

Middleton Library Receives $10,000 Donation
The Middleton Library was thrilled to announce the Friends of the Middleton Community Library received another generous $10,000 donation from an anonymous local donor through the American Endowment Foundation. In June 2023, the Library also received a generous donation. This gift will be used to benefit the Middleton Community Library.
