Football Recap: Princeton Starts Season with Win Against Capital
Princeton took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). They blew past the Capital Cougars, posting a 41-12 win at home. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Cougars are ranked 46th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

ELKVIEW, W.Va. — Herbert Hoover overcame a 95-minute weather delay, a determined group of Independence Patriots and a sizable halftime deficit to win the WVSSAC Kickoff Classic, sponsored by the Army National Guard, 37-30 in a game that ended under foggy conditions in the early hours of Friday morning.
