Two teens hospitalized after car strikes semi's trailer
RUSSELL COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Tuesday in Russell County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Dodge Neon driven by Christopher T. Ford, 18, Hillsboro, Missouri was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of the Gorham exit in the passing lane when it caught up to another vehicle.

One More Day of Heat Wave
The heat wave will last one more day before we get a break in the high temperatures. A heat advisory will be in effect for southeast Kansas, most of Oklahoma, southern Missouri and all of Arkansas today. The advisories start between 11 and 1 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m. Coffeyville is expected to see a high of 99 with a heat index up to 109 today.

Hillsboro eliminated Rock Memorial Post 283 in the District 13 double-elimination tournament with a 9-3 victory July 13 at Yanks Field in Ste. Genevieve.
