Edinburg taps Josie Ramirez as new city attorney
EDINBURG — Three months after City Attorney Omar Ochoa announced his intention to leave the city, officials here have at last chosen his replacement. After a lengthy meeting Tuesday evening, the Edinburg City Council unanimously approved hiring Josephine L. “Josie” Ramirez to become Edinburg’s first in-house city attorney.

They've taken turns feeding her, leaving water on their porches and tossing food over the fence of the abandoned house she has a pig pen in. San Antonio police arrest two additional suspects in capital murder case
SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Two men have been arrested in connection with a double homicide that occurred on July 20, 2023, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Austyn Hartnett, 22, and Micheal Trevino, 22, were apprehended after a shooting on the 1800 block of Lockhill Selma. Although officers did not find any victims at the scene, two male victims were reported missing the following day. An abandoned vehicle was later discovered with evidence indicating that the missing victims had been inside the car.
