MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - A massive technology outage affected many technology reliant industries Friday morning, including WTOK-TV. “The problem was caused by a company called CrowdStrike which is an international company that provides us with some of our software,” said Jim Williams, WTOK IT Engineer. “They pushed out a bad patch file and it caused Windows systems to not be able to boot, and caused them to just keep trying to reboot over and over. We had to find a way to get in there and delete that file, and it’s not that easy.”
