    Fatality on turnpike shuts down I-44 at the Missouri-Oklahoma line

    NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA — A fatality crash near the Oklahoma-Missouri state line closed the westbound lane of the Will Rogers Turnpike for over six hours, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

    A pedestrian was struck and killed near mile marker 125 around 4:15 this morning. Names of those involved have not been released.

    The OHP closed the westbound lane and reopened it at 10 a.m. The area of the crash was approximately four miles west of the Oklahoma-Missouri State Line and approximately 12 miles east of Miami, the patrol said.
