Former NMSU Men’s Basketball Players court hearing scheduled for Monday
LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Three former New Mexico State University basketball players facing sexual assault charges are expected to be in court Monday. The New Mexico Attorney General's Office has charged Deshawndre Washington, Doctor Bradley, and Kim Aiken Jr. with a combined 37 felony sex crimes. Local Jiu Jitsu national champion finds deeper meaning in the sport
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Sarah Souza, 14, is a local Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor who has already achieved national recognition and accolades in the teen orange belt division. She is a back-to-back national champion who recently won each of her fights at the American Nationals by submission. Souza also had a win this year at the Pan-American championship, well known as the largest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition in the Americas.

New Mexico’s environmental regulators have withdrawn a $1.2 million fine against El Paso Water as part of a settlement of the lawsuit filed by the city-operated water utility.
