And Emiree Damian decided to do just that last week with a streetside lemonade stand. This enterprising young lady created signage, whipped up a fresh batch of lemonade, added some snacky treats and she was in business. The photo was posted on Facebook and her mother Brittany said they even had a customer “Venmo-ing” in donations to help the worthy cause.

It’s so heartwarming that youngsters have been going out of their way to help us at Pet Adoptions of Cuero. Most of the cash donations are earmarked almost immediately for vet bills and the shelter pet’s health needs. Right now shelter volume is at an all time high with so many pets being dumped or abandoned.

PAOC welcomes any fund raising projects as the shelter, established in 2012 on a 501c3, relies totally on donations. More juice stands, reverse birthday party gifts or donations of pet products and food are always welcomed and truly appreciated.
