Louisiana has had some problems with keeping the state clean and green, going as far as recently launching an anti-litter hotline in an attempt to combat litter problems. Well, a new study from WalletHub doesn't help the state's appearance as it shines more of a light on Louisiana's environmental problems. WalletHub released a study in which each state is ranked based on how eco-friendly they are.

PLAIN DEALING, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Officials in Plain Dealing announced that they are instituting a system-wide boil advisory as a precaution after a water main was damaged. Emergency work near the intersection of S. Calhoun and E. Caroline Ave started around 11 a.m. after a contractor doing work in the area struck an eight-inch water main, resulting in some Plain Dealing water customers losing pressure while they worked to repair the break.

On Tuesday, after less than an hour of deliberation, a Bossier Parish jury returned a unanimous guilty verdict against Jeremy Doucett, 46, for possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance. $2M for improvements to Shreveport Regional through federal infrastructure bill
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Louisiana Senator Dr. Bill Cassidy announced money for Louisiana airport improvements, including Shreveport Regional Airport. A news release from the senator’s office announced $9M allotted for improvements to state airports through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). This includes $2 million for the Shreveport Airport Authority to construct new terminal gate space.

Kristi Darnell, 50, have been found safe. Magnolia Police Chief Todd Dew said that Darnell was located about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024. She was taken to Magnolia Regional Medical Center to be medically checked, then released. Authorities had been looking for Darnell since Tuesday night, July 23, 2024.
