Oneonta man,19, drowns in Smith Lake
BREMEN, Ala. – A 19-year-old from Oneonta drowned in Smith Lake on Wednesday, July 10. Just past noon, Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick said, he was notified of a possible drowning at Smith Lake. “The call came in around 12:30 p.m.,” he said. “It happened around the Calvert Point area.” Kilpatrick identified the victim as Braxton Beasley.
