CULLMAN, Ala. – The Link of Cullman County recently welcomed a familiar face to a new position. Cayla Grace Murphy is now over the nonprofit’s marketing efforts. Murphy is no stranger to nonprofit and community work. Beginning in her teens, she, along with a group of artist friends, would round up community volunteers and host fundraisers, auctions and supply drives for various organizations. Her professional resume boasts tenures at the United Way of Cullman County and The Cullman Tribune, as well as in-depth volunteer service throughout the community and at The Link itself. Scottsboro man killed in Cullman County wreck
Authorities say a Scottsboro man was killed in a two-vehicle wreck Friday morning. It happened around 8:40 a.m. on Alabama 69 near Cullman County Road 216 in Dodge City. State troopers identified the victim as Justin R. Bradford, 30, of Scottsboro. Troopers say Bradford was critically injured when the 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle he was driving struck a 1999 Ford F-150.
Little Pink Dress returns Oct. 1
CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation’s (CCBBF’s) largest fundraiser of the year is coming up and tickets are available now. The Little Pink Dress benefit has successfully raised thousands of dollars over the years. CCBBF was started by Mary Dyer, who would make cakes for women battling breast cancer in her congregation. Involvement grew and the CCBBF was born. A motorcyclist died after his vehicle collided with a truck Friday morning in Cullman County, authorities said. Justin R.
