    Johnston residents earn WCU honors

    CULLOWHEE — Numerous Johnston County residents earned academic honors during the spring semester at West Carolina University.

    The following, listed by community, earned places on the Chancellor’s List with grade point averages of 3.8 or higher:

    Clayton —Ashlyn Gemberling, Elizabeth Schellinger, Emma Roy, Emma Hunt, George Sweat, Jacob Hilliard, Katelyn Brandes, Katelyn Hellis, Bailey Burk, Elijah Metz, Lauren Massey, Lillian Whaley, Macy Allen, Madeline Snow, Michelle Ni, Sadler Miller, Samuel Metz and Thomas Twisdale.

    Four Oaks — Matthew Thompson and Miranda Parsons.

    Kenly — Audrie McDonald.

    Princeton — Adriana Gonzalez.

    Selma — Aislinn-Anne Brown, Kimberly Granados and Shelby Casey.

    Smithfield — Caleb Tremblay, Hailey Beard and Lydia Walker.

    The following, listed by community, earned places on the Dean’s List with grade point averages of 3.5 to 3.79:

    Benson — Deven Hall.

    Clayton — Aleksandra Hasick, Alycia Melvin, Amanda Leuser, Abigail Lopez, Amelia Rozzell, Ava Marshall, Avery Emig, Cristen Cunningham, Grayson Smith, Olivia Lopez and Riley Kerigan.

    Kenly — Aidan Sevigny.

    Selma — Shaughnessy Newsome.
