Nardò Will Open in Culver City Later This Month

Fresh off the heels of making its West Hollywood debut, Nardò will soon bring its authentic Italian cuisine to Culver City . The newest location off Culver Boulevard is expected to be open by the end of the month.

Originally founded in Huntington Beach by award-winning restaurateur Gianni Chiloiro , Nardò takes its namesake from Gianni’s mother’s, who is the inspiration behind his culinary passion.

“As a young boy, Gianni would spend hours cooking with his mother, learning how to prepare seafood and make homemade pastas and pizza. Decades later, Gianni has decided to celebrate his mother by naming his latest restaurant [her maiden name] Nardò,” says their website .

Each location’s tropical and contemporary interiors – designed by architect Oswaldo Mesia and decorated by Francesca Grace – draw inspiration from the picturesque region of Puglia with their bright white walls, tropical plants, colorful murals, and chic lighting.

The Southern Italian eatery features a menu of fresh seafood, handmade pastas (including fettuccine, lasagne, gnocchi, paccheri, ravioli, and linguine), made from scratch wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, and refreshing cocktails.

“[E]very bite at Nardò will be crafted with the finest locally-sourced ingredients. Prepare to delight in the aroma of artisanal pizzas baking in our wood-fired oven and to explore the richness of Italian cuisine through our expertly curated wine selection,” the website continues.

Chiloiro did not immediately respond to WNLA’s request for comment.
