City to exceed revenue neutral rate for 2025 budget, see 1/2 mill increase
The Emporia City Commission voted to exceed the Revenue Neutral Rate for 2025, with a one-half mill increase to the mill levy Wednesday. The increase would bring the city's mill levy to a maximum of 45.104 mills, and comes with a $33.78 annual increase in valuations for homeowners with houses appraised at $100,000.
