Murder Mystery Dinner Show returns to Oak Grove in August
Dust off your detective gear and get ready for a night of suspense and intrigue, as Oak Grove Tourism is set to host another Murder Mystery Dinner Show on August 31. It will take place at Valor Hall Conference and Event Center and is sure to be a memorable event for all involved, as four women move in together, and their names might be familiar—Sophia, Dorothy, Rose and Blanche. With professional actors in the crowd, guests can help play detective by gathering clues and interrogating suspects to help solve the case.
Spencer Cancels Water/Sewer Rate Increase
The Spencer City Council amended an ordinance for a planned water and sewer rate increase Thursday. The increase implemented in February, 2023 to gradually increase rates every six months until the city’s utilities were no longer experiencing financial stress. With the change in utility leadership, Spencer Mayor Alisa Farmer said the state suggested the change.
