An accident in Cumberland County involving an Amish horse carriage on Sunday killed an 8-year-old girl, according to an update provided today from Virginia State Police. The carriage was struck in the rear by a Ford F250 truck driven by Mack H. Robinson, 75, of Farmville. Robinson was not injured in the crash.

State Police have also released some of the identities of the victims. They now say an 8-year old girl died in the crash on Cumberland Road near Blanton Farm Road, halfway between Cumberland Courthouse and Farmville, Sunday evening. Everyone in the carriage was ejected and the girl died at the scene.
