A trendy DC-based restaurant brand is expanding for the first time into Northern Virginia. It’s called Immigrant Food and it’s coming to Ballston over in Arlington. Immigrant Food already has three locations in Washington. Now, it’s latest restaurant will open this Tuesday, July 23 at 4245 North Fairfax Drive. That’s at the global headquarters for The Nature Conservancy.

Averett University (AU) employees are experiencing a temporary reduction in pay this summer as a result of financial mismanagement, according to campus officials. The problem was first discovered during a quarterly financial review. Flood Warning in Effect Until 1:30 PM Monday
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A flood warning is in effect until 1:30 this (Monday) afternoon. The National Weather Service says small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected for a portion of central Virginia including Albemarle County and Charlottesville. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. At 729 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area.
