Oil City Woman Accused of Allegedly Punching Ex-Girlfriend During Domestic Altercation Due in Court Today
OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — A local woman accused of punching her ex-girlfriend in Oil City is due in court on Wednesday morning. According to court records, a preliminary hearing for 32-year-old Trista Marie Tanner, of Oil City, is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, in Venango County Central Court.
Local Woman Charged for Allegedly Neglecting Elderly Disabled Mother
TIONESTA TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A local woman is facing charges for allegedly neglecting her elderly disabled mother who was found deceased in her home. Court documents indicate that Marienville-based State Police filed criminal charges against 40-year-old Shasta Dawn Vantassel, of Tionesta, in Magisterial District Judge Daniel Miller’s office on Monday, July 22.
Children’s bike rodeo set Aug. 3 in Titusville
PennDOT and its safety partners will host a free children’s bicycle rodeo on Saturday, August 3, at Titusville City Hall. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., with activities from 10 a.m. to noon. The event aims to promote bicycling, educate kids on safety, and develop safe biking habits. Children aged 5 to 12 can participate, and must bring a bicycle, helmet, and a parent or guardian to sign a permission slip. Activities will teach safety skills, and Titusville police will inspect helmets and bikes. The rodeo coincides with the launch of Titusville’s bicycle registration program to help identify and return lost or stolen bikes. A drawing for two free bicycles and a limited number of free helmets will be offered, along with a free hot dog lunch.

A Michigan man is accused of leaving his ex-girlfriend in Mercer County hundreds of unwanted messages, as well as stalking her. According to the criminal complaint, the victim told police her ex-boyfriend, identified as 28-year-old Aldo Bardhi, has been stalking her since December of 2023 and leaving her hundreds of unwanted voicemails and text messages.
