Update: Heat advisory for Curry County Coast until Thursday night
An updated heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 9:27 a.m. in effect until 10 p.m. for Curry County Coast. "After very warm overnight lows this morning in the 70s. Temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees are expected," explains the weather service. "The thermal trough will begin to move inland later today and temperatures will decrease somewhat and become more reasonable Friday into the Weekend at the coast."

CCSO's Search and Rescue team assists 2 missing hikers
Monday, July 1st, 2024 at about 9:54pm, the Curry County Sheriff’s Dispatch 911 center received a 911 call from Jason Gaudio, reporting that his friend, twenty-three-year-old Rayse Kawamoto, from Hawaii, was missing after walking down the trail to Natural Bridges, about twelve miles north of Brookings. Gaudio reported that there was another male subject they had met on the same trail and that he has not returned to the parking lot as well. The Curry Health Foundation (CHF) announced the recipients of their Grant Awards for the 2024 Spring Cycle at an event on June 21, 2024. Hosted at the Curry Public Library. Two rescued on Curry County trail
CURRY COUNTY, ORE. —The Curry County Sheriff’s Office responding to a report of a missing person after they got lost on a trail in Curry County. CCSO says a friend reported his 23-year-old friend missing after they walked down the trail to Natural Bridges about 12 miles north of Brookings.
