February 1, 2024 is a day that will always be remember for Winter Warriors athlete, Gunnar Greuel. In the second half a home, non-conference game, versus the Frederic Vikings, Gunnar Greuel grabbed an offensive rebound off of a missed free throw, and put it back in to move him into the 1,000 point club.

While most athletes aspire to score 1,000 points in their high school careers, there are even less that can say they also grabbed 1,000 rebounds in their high school career. In fact, there have only been a total of 7 athletes in documented WIAA history to claim this feat. The Wisconsin Sports Network has been contacted to determine if this is in fact true based on the stats in their database - no response has been provided to the date of this post.

Gunnar Greuel of Winter Wisconsin, population of 327 and high school enrollment of 87 students, had just done that. Greuel joins elite company in achieving this particular milestone.
