CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (WJW) — We are just days away from a major bridge closure that will impact drivers and people attending concerts at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls.

Starting Monday, the Steels Corners Bridge in Cuyahoga Falls will close to eastbound traffic for 90 days. No doubt a headache for anyone traveling southbound after a show at Blossom Music Center this summer.

“We have a lot of concerts coming up, too, it’s really going to affect it,” said Daniel Abood, a resident.

According to the Summit County Engineer, it’s all part of a major renovation project, which includes replacing expansion joints, overlaying the bridge deck with concrete, and replacing the approach guardrail.

Detour signs will be posted, navigating drivers north on Wyoga Lake Road, then onto Seasons Road.

It’s a three-month closure that will affect residents and concert-goers at Blossom this summer.

According to the Summit County Engineer, the Steels Corners Bridge is Summit County’s largest bridge, spanning 1,000 feet.
