Mathieu Burgaudeau (TotalEnergies) won the final stage of the Tour du Limousin-Périgord - Nouvelle Aquitaine, with a late solo attack, while Alex Baudin (Decathlon-AG2R) finished just a few seconds behind him to secure overall victory in the four-day race in central France.

Axel Zingle (Cofidis) was a frustrated second at four seconds, with Hugo Oage (Intermarché-Wanty) third, in the same time as Zingle. Baudin was 16th in the ame group and so could celebrate overall victory.

The 161km stage from Oradour-sur-Glane to regional capital Limoges included a number of attacks.

Jefferson Cepeda (Caja Rural–RGA), Benoit Cosnefroy (Decathlon-AG2R) and Lilian Calmejane (Intermarché-Wanty) joined the break with 45km to race but then the chasers, including Baudin came across to them on the 10km finishing circuits.

Dean Harvey (Trinity Racing) made a solo attack but Lenny Martinez (Groupama-FDJ) chased him down, meaning the race came back together.

Decathlon-AG2R worked to control the race for Baudin but then Alexandre Delettre (St.Michel–Mavic–Auber 93) attacked with five kilometres to race, blowing up the front group.

Burgaudeau then took his chance with his own attack. He caught Delettre and dropped him inside the final kilometre to win alone and collapse on the road, fatigued but incredibly happy.

Baudin and Decathlon-AG2R also celebrated as they took another win.
