Demi Vollering (SD Worx-Protime) extended her lead in the yellow jersey at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift , finishing second on stage four in Liège, but taking valuable bonus seconds at the intermediate sprint and finish line.

The day was won in a photo-finish by 22-year-old Puck Pieterse (Fenix Deceuninck), who earned her maiden road victory after collecting accolades in cyclo-cross and mountain bike events.

Pieterse was one of the key instigators of the action on stage four, finishing first over the penultimate two climbs, and earning enough points in the mountains classification to secure the polka-dot jersey for stage five. She leads with 10 points, one ahead of Silvia Persico (UAE Team ADQ).

The Dutchwoman also jumped 22 places to second in the general classification, and is now 22 seconds adrift of her compatriot Vollering. As such, Pieterse is the rightful leader in the young rider's classification, but lends her white jersey to Shirin van Anrooij (Lidl-Trek) while she wears the polka dots.

Charlotte Kool (dsm-firmenich PostNL), winner of both of the opening two sprint stages , extended her lead in the points classification from 39 to 44 points ahead of Marianne Vos (Visma-Lease a Bike), after taking more spoils in the intermediate sprint.
