Sherrod Savage, a 36-year-old man from Cordele, was recently arrested on multiple drug charges after a search warrant was executed by the Crisp County Special Response Team (SRT) and Mid-South Narcotics Task Force (MSNTF).

According to officials from the Crisp County Sheriff's Office (CCSO), the SRT and MSNTF conducted the warrant at two residences in Cordele on July 15. During the searches, officials discovered numerous clear bags containing a white powdery substance, multiple pre-packaged bags of suspected marijuana, digital scales, packaging materials, bottles of suspected promethazine, a suspected psilocybin chocolate bar, multiple firearms, and cash.

Following the discovery, MSNTF conducted a test on the white substance, which tested positive for cocaine, officials stated.

Savage faces charges including possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, sale/distribution/possession of dangerous drugs (2 counts), possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute (3 counts), possession, manufacture/distribution of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school, counts of manufacturing/possession of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a housing project (2 counts), and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

Additional charges are pending further investigation, according to Crisp County officials.

May seem like a big bust but considering that $50 billion/year comes into our country that ain't shit. Playing dealer whack-a-mole hasn't worked. We must build FDA controlled labs that will produce potency controlled, contaminant free, meth & fentanyl here in the US, preferably adjacent to or on military base land currently unused for security purposes. Next, offer our products free of charge via prescription to all addicts in our safe use, doctor staffed, dispensaries. Drug deaths would plummet because today it is the lack of potency control & toxic additives that causes up to 80% of overdoses. The drug cartels will rapidly lose their customers who prefer safe & free drugs and they will shut down. Crimes like shoplifting, theft, robbery, and auto theft will be massively reduced too as drug addicts no longer rely on these crimes to get the cash for their daily fix. Once we have them coming to us, offer treatment & job training as a way out
