Last week, a 23-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, who both had warrants, were arrested following a traffic stop.

On August 21, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a detective with the Coffee County Drug Unit was observing traffic on Hwy 21 North in the Oak Park Community when he noticed a Black GMC Pickup traveling south toward the city. The detective said he observed behavior that he believed to be an indicator of criminal behavior

and ran the vehicle's tag through a law enforcement system. The search revealed that the truck lacked insurance and had previously been associated with 27-year-old Logan Stone of Douglas, a wanted individual.

The detective informed other detectives, who then followed the vehicle to the Burger King North due to heavy traffic conditions preventing an immediate stop. The vehicle entered the Burger King drive-thru, and CCDU agents set up surveillance in the area.

At around 3:20 p.m., when the vehicle exited the Burger King parking lot and re-entered Madison Ave., the detective executed a traffic stop in the parking lot. Upon approaching the vehicle, the detective identified Stone as the driver and arrested him based on outstanding warrants. A passenger in the truck, identified as 23-year-old Madsion Revels of Douglas, was also instructed to exit the vehicle. Revels initially provided a false name but was later found to have an outstanding probation violation warrant from Bacon County. She was then placed under arrested.

The detective transported Stone to the Coffee County Jail, and soon after, a K9 Deputy informed him that Revels had produced suspected methamphetamine from her bra before being taken into custody. The suspected drugs were collected by the deputy and later handed over to a detective.

The suspected methamphetamine, weighing approximately 2.0 grams including packaging, was documented and logged into evidence. The case continues to develop as the investigation progresses.

As a result, Reveals was charged with possession of methamphetamjne and Stone was booked on 2 probation warrants for Stone.
