šŸŒŸHey there, you with the stars in your eyes,

The universe wasn't kind to movie buffs, making the Daylight Saving Time change coincide with the Academy Awards. How are you holding up? ... Me? Don't ask.

Every year, I stay up too late watching the Oscars, get rattled, excited, and cannot fall asleep until way too late.

So, if I seem a little off or testy today, it's not because I was disappointed with the awards show (we're long past that), it's because I got, maybe, two hours of sleep.

šŸ€Back to Earth in Lake County, preparations are underway for a big St. Patrick's Day weekend in downtown Leesburg.

šŸŒNew plan for old Silver Lake Country Club land

Built in the 1920s, it was the heart and soul of a nice, surrounding neighborhood for decades, including stately homes on Silver Lake Drive. Since the club closed in 2007, lush greens have morphed into brushy hideouts for wildlife, including coyotes.

Every development plan, including news about the recent sale of the land, has frayed neighborsā€™ nerves.

šŸ Home sales in Lake County ... still on the upswing?

Yes. Lake County's median home was 1,934 square feet, listed at $218 per square foot.

The price per square foot of homes for sale is up 4.7% from February 2023.

Compared to last month, the median home list price increased 3.8%
