⚾ "Damn Yankees,' Christmas in July & fiesta this weekend

Wondering what to do this weekend?

Celebrate North and South American Latin cultures with dance performances, music and a fashion show at the Fiesta de las Americas at Lake Square Mall, or batter up for a musical theater classic in Mount Dora. That's not all. Families can enjoy field day and back-to-school events, and art lovers should check out the new exhibition at the Lake County Museum of Art. Read about it all in our weekend guide.

🧋3 questions with someone you should know: Robin Siper

The Daily Commercial caught up with Robin Siper, co-owner and community face of HteaO in Leesburg, last week just before the grand opening of her new outlet for freshly prepared tea beverages, which has caught on locally.

Who owns the restaurant with Robin? "My parents, Rhonda and Don McClure, co-own the franchise with me along my husband, Daniel."

How she and Daniel met and their big news? "We met in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, while working (for Feld, a Florida-based company that produces circus shows, monster truck spectacles, Disney on Ice and other entertainment). My son's name is Samuel, and I am 10 weeks pregnant."

What's something people might not know about HteaO? "One of the biggest differences is we use reverse osmosis water. So, we go through several filtration systems to make sure we have the most pure water to use, and then we also use real fruit, uh, instead of syrups."
