    🍣Happy Foodie Wednesday, folks!

Attention, Leesburg-area Asian food lovers and those who don't mind driving for a little sushi and hibachi, The Fire Japanese Steakhouse is now open.

The restaurant is a family affair, founded by Ronnie Sexton and his two sons, Parker and Hunter. Executive chef Joshido John, who has 34 years of experience, mentored them.

“We’re a hibachi restaurant, a Japanese steakhouse; we’re going to have a sushi bar; we’re going to have Teppanyaki chefs come out and perform,” co-owner Parker told "What Now Orlando . "

Some restaurants listed in today's report are local favorites. Some violations are worse than others. See who got nabbed.

🌯Where we ate this week: Cedar Grill Clermont

After attending a memorial outside, I tried Cedar Grill Clermont because I missed Middle Eastern food and I don't find it driving around northern Lake/Marion counties unless I happen on a food truck.

The chicken shawarma was fairly good with a nicely grilled pita wrap. The chicken was meh; it wasn't chargrilled and the stuff mixed with it started out aromatic and intriguing but took on a stale, pickled aftertaste that threw me off. Was it the seasoning, garlic or peppers? To my eyes and taste buds, it was if giardiniera came to the party but didn't belong there.

The ingredients aren't listed on the menu. If you're curious, ask before ordering. (Also, a yogurt sauce would help but I didn't see it on the menu. Let me know if I missed it.)

Complementing the shwarma: a veggie plate and excellently fresh pita that hit the spot after a sweltering morning spent outside. That dish did not disappoint.
