Attention, Leesburg-area Asian food lovers and those who don't mind driving for a little sushi and hibachi, The Fire Japanese Steakhouse is now open at 1401 Citrus Blvd., Leesburg.

The restaurant replaces a former Japanese eatery known as Osaka's.

The Asian restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays and is closed on Mondays.

Fire looks promising. It is a family affair, founded by Ronnie Sexton and his two sons, Parker and Hunter. Executive chef Joshido John, who has 34 years of experience behind him, mentored the Sextons. Dad Ronnie Sexton also has run a plumbing business in Eustis .

“We’re a hibachi restaurant, a Japanese steakhouse; we’re going to have a sushi bar, and we’re going to have Teppanyaki chefs come out and perform,” co-owner Parker Sexton told "What Now Orlando . "

The Sexton sons' social media game is on point with the help of Bryson "Regie" Holtzer. Fun Tik Toks and Instagram reels show us that they're in touch with the younger market and appeal to older diners with their reasonable prices — both aspects may bode well for a bustling, diverse clientele at Fire Japanese Steakhouse.
