🌅Great Outdoors ... 'boondoggle'?

No doubt caused by the backlash to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's unpopular "Great Outdoors Initiative," the DEP has postponed originally planned meetings for today to find bigger venues to accommodate the growing number of people who have responded to meeting registration forms.

The DEP says new meeting dates are expected to be announced soon and that they're shooting for early September.

The Florida chapter of the Sierra Club has issued a call for protests instead of the meetings originally planned for Aug. 27.

Even author Carl Hiaasen has weighed in on the matter.
