Tonight, Oct. 4, is 4th Street Live, and this month's installment is extra special because the Thriller dancers from The Villages, Thrill the Villages, will dazzle the crowd with their rendition of the '80s favorite.

Artists will dress up in costumes in celebration of the Halloween season, attendees are encouraged to come in a get-up, too. DJ T Samp will spin tunes and freestyle dancers will take to the street. Read more about what's happening this weekend below. 🔻

Why should we wish her félicitations ? East Ridge High instructor Madame Gerline Smith has been named the Florida French Teacher of the Year.

Who bestowed this honor? The American Association of Teachers of French , and the Florida Foreign Language Association

Why did she receive the honors? Smith's dedication to her students is "evident through her tireless efforts to provide opportunities for them to use the French language beyond the classroom," wrote Deanna Scheffer, FL AATF Grand Concours Director, Executive Board, in a letter to East Ridge High School Principal Julie Robinson-Lueallen.
