The projects will increase the company’s portfolio by 12.5 MWs. Initially developed by one of its partners, the ground-mounted projects will generate clean, electric power with the benefits offered through the Altus Power Community Solar Program.

“As one of the earliest adopters of Community Solar, Maine is a leader in enabling its residents to access the benefits of clean, electric power and we’re proud to strengthen our presence and expand our Community Solar program in the state,” Matt Marlow, Vice President, Investment and Structured Finance with Altus Power, said. “By increasing our footprint in Maine, we’ll be able to operate all of our Maine projects more efficiently and be optimally positioned for ongoing growth within the market.”

The power generated will benefit more than 2,600 households and offset nearly 12,000 metric tons of carbon emissions. Altus Power’s portfolio serves enterprise across 25 states and achieves carbon reduction goals through its distributed solar arrays.

Altus Power currently serve more than 25,000 subscribers nationwide and provides homeowners and renters in diverse income brackets with clean energy savings via discounts on their utility bills without requiring customers to install or maintain their own solar panels. what good are these solar stations doing? other than being an eye sore and selling electricity to Massachusetts. They don't seem to have an effect on my CMP bill. I'm convinced that someone's pockets are being lined.
