Man dies in Aurora motorcycle crash
A 48-year-old man was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in Aurora Friday night, police said. Around 6:44 p.m., police and fire personnel were called to North Orchard and Sullivan roads after a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a 2009 Nissan Versa. When officers arrived, they found a man with serious injuries who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a Facebook post Saturday.

Police: Youth fighting, fireworks part of ‘multiple disturbances’ at Fox Valley Mall
Groups of young people were fighting and lighting off fireworks inside and outside of Fox Valley Mall Friday night, but there were no reports of injuries, Aurora police said. Police received multiple calls for a large disturbance involving roughly 50 juveniles outside the mall about 6:40 p.m. After officers worked to disperse the group, police were notified by mall security that they needed assistance with dispersing some 100 to 200 juveniles inside and outside of the shopping center.

Sheriff: Man dies after apparent medical emergency in jail
A 32-year-old man has died after he suffered an apparent medical emergency in the Cook County Jail’s residential treatment unit Friday afternoon, authorities said. Ahmad Abed of Bridgeview was taken by Chicago Fire Department paramedics to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:25 p.m., according to a statement from the county sheriff’s office.
