Chemical and physical restraints: What are the rules?
The appropriate use of patient restraints in health care settings can keep both patients and hospital staff safe from injury, but they are often overused and abused. It’s important to know what the standard of care requires and what rights a patient has when it comes to restraints, be they physical or chemical.
Grief & healing: It can be sad to remember fun vacations
It’s strange how memories can be both happy and sad at the same time. After Baheej died, I realized this happens. Travel was a big part of our life together. And we usually took a major international vacation together every summer. And sometimes another one in the winter over Christmas and New Year. We’d just go to a destination and immerse ourselves in the culture, exploring everything — food, local customs, art, nature, all of it.

Ottawa scored six runs in the top of the eighth inning to turn around a 3-2 deficit and held off a late surge from the Boomers to nab the victory.

Ron Onesti: The grand old flag
As I was getting on in my years, I appreciated the simpler and meaningful things in life more and more. Time with family and friends, the fruits of my labor, a beautiful, sunny day. Pretty cliché, but still, a great golf shot, a nice vacation, cooking on a Sunday … you get what I mean.

Happ ignites long-dormant Cubs offense
Craig Counsell has been talking for weeks about how the Cubs need to stretch out a lead and enjoy some stress-free innings for a change. They finally listened to him. Thanks to a pair of 3-run homers by Ian Happ — one from each side of the plate — the Cubs rolled to a rare easy victory, beating Philadelphia 10-2 on Thursday at Wrigley Field and avoiding a sweep in the series.
Can Cubs’ upswing in pitching development continue without key executive?
An under-the-radar transaction from last winter was the Cubs losing director of pitching Craig Breslow to the Red Sox, where he became chief baseball officer. Breslow, who joined the Cubs in 2019, was often credited for the dramatic turnaround in Cubs' pitching development, which helped push Justin Steele, Javier Assad, Adbert Alzolay and other homegrown hurlers to the majors. One key ingredient seemed to be the ability to teach players how to throw effective sliders and sweepers.
