    ELECTION 2024-ABORTION

    Voters in Arizona and eight other states are deciding next month whether to add the right to abortion to their constitutions. Arizona’s amendment would go into effect with a governor’s proclamation if voters approve it. The state bars abortion after 15 weeks — and most occur before then. By Geoff Mulvihill.     CLIMATE-LA NINA

    NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center reports there is a 60% chance that a weak La Nina will develop this autumn and could last until March.
