The 11th annual Stand Up For Veterans event is making its way back to Glendale.

The gathering gets under way at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 with opening ceremonies on the campus of Arizona Christian University, 1 W. Firestorm Way. Dozens of volunteers will be on site through 1 p.m. to help veterans access services tailored to their needs.

“There are a lot of veterans who need some kind of assistance, so we try to put as many services as we can in one place with no sales allowed and no money exchanged,” Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers shared in a press release.

Planning committee members represent city, state, and federal agencies, local businesses, and nonprofit partners that organize and execute the event which benefits Valley-wide veterans.
