    Home Talent League: Trio of Cambridge pitchers toss 1-hit shutout in 11-0 win over Lake Mills

    LAKE MILLS — Three Cambridge pitchers combined to throw a one-hitter in the Blues’ 11-0 seven-inning win over Lake Mills on Sunday at Campus Field in Home Talent League Baseball action.

    JT Parish started for the Blues, pitching two innings with five strikeouts. Denver Evans tossed three innings, allowing one hit and recording four strikeouts in the win. Sam Mickelson pitched the sixth and seventh, recording one strikeout.

    At the plate, Tyler Kledzik and Logan Koch both recorded three RBIs. Kledzik hit a two-run single in the sixth to score Jared Marty and Jace Horton. In the seventh, Kledzik scored Colton Ehrke on an RBI single.

    Koch drove in Chase Jarlsberg on an RBI single in the fifth, scored Ehrke on a single in the sixth and drove in Kledzik on an RBI single in the seventh. Evans and Jarlsberg both added two RBIs.

    Payton Klettke took the loss for Lake Mills (0-2), which hosts Footville next Sunday before facing McFarland on the road Monday, May 27.

    Cambridge (1-1) faces Fort Atkinson next Sunday at Cambridge High School, then faces Evansville on the road on Monday, May 27.
