JANESVILLE — Lakeside Lutheran senior Reagan Gebhart fired the low round of the day, carding a 79 to win Thursday’s Rock Valley Conference Championship held at Janesville Riverside Golf Course.

Gebhart held off two other area golfers — Jefferson senior Annika Bilau and Cambridge sophomore Jill Thompson — by one stroke to win medalist honors.

The Warriors shot 387 as a team to finish second in the conference meet and final conference standings. Freshman Bella Roman and senior Tessa Schmocker each shot 102 for Lakeside while senior Gabby Schmid shot 104.

Cambridge shot 376 to win the conference meet and finish atop the overall league standings. Thompson’s round of 80 led the Blue Jays.

Senior Zoe Krueger shot 97 to finish sixth. Senior Katherine Brown (98) and junior Marissa Schneider (101) also scored for Cambridge.

The Eagles, led by Bilau’s round of 80, shot 420 to finish fourth in the meet and took third in the overall standings. Junior Alyce Schultz (101), senior Chloe Smith (109) and senior Maddie Welter (130) also scored for Jefferson.

Gebhart, Thompson and Bilau were each first team all-conference honorees for their season-long performance. Bilau (41.00), Thompson (41.71) and Gebhart (43.14) posted the three-lowest nine-hole averages over the course of the season.

All three teams head to a Division 2 regional at Portage Golf Club on Wednesday.

Team scores: Cambridge 376, Lakeside Lutheran 387, Edgerton 401, Jefferson 420, Turner 427, Clinton 440, Evansville 440, East Troy 447.
