A teenager was arrested after a 17-year-old boy was shot in the face during an early-morning clash in upper Manhattan Saturday, police said.

The 2:12 a.m. shooting on Sherman Ave. near Academy St. in Inwood was the second time in two days that someone under 18 was shot in the five boroughs, cops said.

The 17-year-old suspect was arrested and initially charged with criminal possession of a weapon hours later, cops said.

Police were called to a building near the street corner and found the victim bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds in a stairwell leading up to the roof. The gun was found near the victim.

The teen had been shot in the face and chest, cops said.

EMS rushed him to Harlem Hospital, where he was expected to survive.

The gunman ran off. Cops were scouring the area looking for surveillance footage that could help them identify the shooter, before ultimately apprehending a suspect the same day.

It wasn’t immediately disclosed what sparked the violence, but cops believe the shooting stemmed from some sort of dispute at the location.

In an unrelated incident nearly 24 hours earlier, 16-year-old Kemari Sanders was shot in the neck as he rode on the back of a moped in the Bronx.

He was idling outside a closed daycare on Bryant Ave. near Jennings St. in Crotona Park East just before 1 a.m. when he was shot.

“I was just upstairs on the phone with my boyfriend and I just heard a pop so I just thought it was a firework,” nearby resident Jelisa Munda, 17, told the Daily News.

Cops found him shot in the neck, lying in a pool of blood. A sweatshirt, a few red Solo cups, a lighter and a moped were found nearby, cops were told.

EMS rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

    The gunman remained at large.

The teen’s mother, Selena Cox , told News 12 Bronx that her son told her he was going a friend’s house. A short time later, she learned he had been shot and wounded.

The teen was uncooperative when questioned by detectives, a police source said.

Investigators suspect the shooting was linked to gang activity in the area, although it wasn’t clear if the victim was involved with a gang.

As of mid-May, 48 people under 18 had been shot in the city, police said.

Eight teens had been murdered . The murder rate for juveniles was a drop from the same period last year, where 11 children under age 18 had been killed, according to police.
