Carjacker Suffers 'Serious Injuries' In Officer-Involved Virginia Shooting, Police Say

A carjacking suspect in Arlington suffered serious injuries after being struck during an officer-involved shooting on Friday, police say.

The Arlington County Police Department says that a Metro Transit officer was involved in a shooting following a series of carjackings in the Roslyn area.

Following the shooting, the carjacking suspect was treated and rushed to an area hospital with what were described as serious injuries.

According to police, as of 12:15 p.m. on July 5, there were no suspects at large related to the incident, which remains under investigation.
