Nassau County Police were called to the Macy’s store in Manhasset, located at 1100 Northern Boulevard, for a robbery at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16.

A loss prevention employee told officers that two men stole items before fleeing in a black Kia. On their way out, one of the men was involved in a physical altercation with the worker.

There were no reports of injuries.

Police located the suspect vehicle a short time later and conducted a traffic stop near Northern Boulevard and Community Drive.

The occupants, 37-year-old Lawrence Davis, and 42-year-old Hulin Piao, both of Queens, were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Piao was additionally charged with criminal possession of an anti-security device.

Both men were arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday, July 17.
