Maryland Man, Florida Woman Passing Bad Checks In Stafford County Tracked Down, Sheriff Says

Pasadena Raymond Wilson, 36, and 20-year-old Florida resident Jessie Mainville were both arrested this week after their checks bounced - and not for the first time.

At around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, deputies from the Stafford County Sheriff's Office were called to O'Reilly Auto Parts on Bojangles way, where there was a report of fraud suspects in the business.

"Staff advised a male and female were known to pay for items using a check; however, by the time the check would bounce the suspects were long gone," a spokesperson for the sheriff's office said.

"Due to employees from multiple stores sharing information with each other, when the suspects arrived on this day, staff was well aware of their recent transgressions and contacted law enforcement."

Staff members were able to provide a description of the duo's vehicle, which was tracked down in the northbound lanes of I-95 and stopped at Sheetz on Wyche Road, where Mainville and Wilson were taken into custody without incident.

Investigators say that Wilson initially tried to provide a false ID, which was promptly debunked, and it was determined that he was already wanted in Stafford County for forgery, uttering, and obtaining money by false pretenses due to a previous bad check report.

Mainville was also tied to a recent credit card fraud where the victim lost $2,000, they added.

Willison was served on his outstanding warrants, as well as, additionally charged with providing false identification to law enforcement and identity theft.

Mainville was charged with grand larceny, credit card forgery, and identity theft with intent to defraud.

Both are being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional. charges are pending.
